IDW Auditing Practice Statements (IDW AuPS)

IDW Auditing Practice Statements set forth the views of the IDW technical committees on specific auditing issues, and principally serve to supplement the IDW Auditing Standards. Thus, whilst IDW Auditing Practice Statements provide guidance to the auditing profession they do not have the same authority as the IDW Auditing Standards. Nevertheless, their application is recommended.
